Mission Glass helped to deliver another critical hub to Sound Transit's growing footprint for their light rail system with the Northgate Station. The Northgate Station is part of the Northgate Link Extension Project for Sound Transit's Light Rail connecting Seattle to Lynnwood. The station provides access to Northgate Mall, bus transfers at the transit center, adjacent park-and-ride facilities, North Seattle Community College and nearby homes and businesses.

We provided suspended curtainwalls and storefronts that act as a wind and weather break to protect transit users from the exterior elements that are ever-changing in the Northwest environment. Custom artwork was incorporated into several areas of the glazing systems which made the long journey from the art glass fabricator based in Germany. This unique process required detailed layout of the structure to coordinate final glass sizes early in the process, before much of the steel was even erected due to the long lead time required to create and fabricate the glass.

Northgate Station is just one of many projects Mission Glass has had the opportunity to deliver for Sound Transit and will serve as a vital link to help the pubic move more efficiently in and out of Seattle for generations of future residents.
